Nationwide and Champions Tour Players Find Winner's Circle with Graphite Design Shafts
Buick Open Accuracy Leader Played Company's YS-6 Model
(SAN DIEGO, California) - The winners of this week's Nationwide Tour and Champions Tour events played Graphite Design shaft models, as did the driving accuracy leader at the PGA TOUR's Buick Open, according to the Darrell Survey.

At the Nationwide Tour's Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic, both professionals who reached a sudden-death playoff used Graphite Design shafts. The eventual winner powered his 3-wood with the company's PM 902 model while the runner-up carried Tour AD shafts in a pair of hybrid clubs. The duo finished regulation tied at 16-under par.

The victor at the Commerce Bank Championship on the Champions Tour earned his latest win playing a Graphite Design shaft in his driver. It marked the first victory of the season and eighth of his Champions Tour career.

At the Buick Open, the leader in driving accuracy split 78.57 percent of fairways for the week using Graphite Design's YS-6 shaft in his driver. He also averaged an impressive 306.3 yards per drive for the week.

"It was another successful week for professionals choosing Graphite Design shafts," said Tim Gillis, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Graphite Design. "From the driver to fairway woods to hybrids, world-class players max out their distance and accuracy with our shafts. The versatility of Graphite Design products means that all golfers - from professionals to beginners - can find a perfect fit to get the most from their swing."

Graphite Design - maker of some of the most widely played premium shafts on the PGA TOUR - unveiled its Tour AD YSQ shaft model to rave reviews from OEM representatives, customers and media in January. The Tour AD YSQ is designed to superior performance in four key areas: launch angle, spin rate, accuracy and distance.

The company also launched the Graphite Design Fantasy Golf Tour 2008, where contestants pick their favorites in the PGA TOUR's five biggest tournaments for a chance to win $100,000. Entering the Graphite Design Fantasy Golf Tour is free and requires only a quick registration via the company's newly redesigned web site (www.gdintl.com, click on Fantasy Challenge).

In 2007, Graphite Design shaft models propelled professionals to a combined 45 victories on the PGA, Nationwide, Champions, Japan and LPGA tours. Among those relying on Graphite Design shafts were the world's No. 3-ranked men's player, the No. 4 women's player, the winner of the Champions Tour's Charles Schwab Cup points title, and seven of the top eight money earners on the Japan Tour. Graphite Design reinforced its dominance on the Japan Tour, where it has claimed 158 consecutive graphite wood shaft brand counts -- an unprecedented streak which dates to 2002. On the PGA TOUR, Graphite Design shafts have helped professionals earn 54 victories and more than $290 million since 2004.

In 2007 the company introduced the Tour AD Quattro Tech ultra-premium shaft in the U.S. and launched its G-TECH combination-flex custom clubmaker series of wood and iron shafts, designed for exceptional playability throughout the bag.
